I would say he is a snowcap, since they are usually born with that perfect shock of white on their butts.  I wouldn't call him a snowcap with spots, as I think the white will expand a bit over his rump, so better to call him a snowcap at this point.  Most appy breeders want either a snowcap or a fewspot, since both are homozygous for the appy genes and throw appy on any foals they produce.  They do have tests for the LP gene and the PATN gene, and you might want to test him for them to prove what he's carrying.  Nothing better than LP/LP PATN/PATN.  These are the ones you can breed to solid mares and produce some loud color babies.

He's just a little beauty!!  Precious and Legacy did you proud!!

I popped in for a quick check around midnight, and again just now. I'm a bit surprised that she's still so crabby about letting him nurse. She walks away, nips, and this last time even kicked out. She's tried hiding in the corner as well.

He's quite the insistent little scamp, so got his sippies in (sneaking one in from under the tail!) If he weren't so strong it would be concerning. But she nips his leg and he keeps sipping. I suppose he's getting enough as he sips until HE decides to quit. Just wanted Holly to be aware.

And I agree with everyone else... he's unfolding into quite a handsome fellow!!

Ive been keeping a close eye on his output, and he is doing just great. I have watched her and realize she doesnt like him nursing when she is eating, Most times she lets him just fine.
Today he got his first day out, put them in the chain lik garden so he could stretch and play as well as still be safe.
Lots of cute pictures coming, I will put them in The Follow our foals  section!
