Here's a copy/paste of what I just sent to a friend in a message on FB (so a little repeat of previous comment):
Crappy weather rolling in and I have a colicy or ulcery horse on my hands. Spotty is feeling punky today. Doesn't seem quite right for colic, but seems a bit much for ulcers, I don't know maybe he's a pansy. He seems better after a bit of banamine on board. He's in a shelter, gated off from the other boys with a tub of water; I had to finish chores and do supper, and take a break; will go check on him in a little bit. This crappy, unpredictable, unusual June/July weather seems to have set something off with him. He's had some Uckele GUT digestive supplement, a Nexium (omeprazole for ulcers), and then banamine, which once the paste kicked in seemed to perk him up. If it's colic, it's not typical; I'd spot him lying down and if I called to him he's jump up and trot or run off. The first time I took him for a walk, he was a bit stoic going away from the gelding pen, but going back he was leaning and fussing and being his obnoxious self, so I'm not sure what to think.
