I think I have "sucker" on my forehead...
« on: December 07, 2020, 05:37:23 PM »
Meet Bean, he's about 11 weeks old.  He is the only survivor of a late season barn kitten litter (mom dumped them at the feed shed and she was done, I tried to save all 3, but the other two were too weak); I've been feeding him milk replacer for over 6 weeks, probably 7 or 8, since I started in the barn before bringing to the house about 5-6 weeks ago.  The vet aged him at about 10 weeks last week when she was out to preg-check cows.  He's not quite as big as he looks, he was sitting on my lap when I took the picture.
[We already had 4 house cats, three were barn kittens that weren't going to make it without help.]

OMG!  Found it.  I had put Beans first couple pics in the Barn cat album in my files, not the House Cat files, no wonder I forgot.  ;)    He's house cat now.
Here's a scraggly Bean pic from shortly after he came in.

I'm a complete sucker, and some times Shayne gets suckered in.  ;)

And, the cat that wouldn't stop peeing in the house was demoted to porch cat, where he now has his own "bunk house" complete with thermo-regulated bed; and he loves is his little house and heated mat (but, would still prefer to be a house cat).  [We've tried, we couldn't break him of his bad habit.]

Hi Bean!!  Good to see he's doing so very well on the replacer.  I see a touch of Siamese in the shape of his eyes and the fact they're a bit cross-eyed. 🥰  My grandmother that bred
German Shepherds also bred Siamese.  Does he chat to you?  Or have any affinity for water?

Also, I don't consider it being suckered.  You did like the semi-pro shopping ladies did when I worked at Cato. (A women's fashion store.)  One bag in, one bagol out.  The difference is that you did it with cat's. 😆

I envy the bunkhouse kitty.  I wouldn't mind bunking with him for a couple of weeks....laying on a comfy heated mat, have my meals catered, and looking out onto a Big Sky Vista.  Even in winter, Montana is lovely.
