Grace so fits her name! What a beautiful pic of her in her stall!!
How long can you leave that type of braid in her tail? I couldn't ever leave mine braided like that - they'd destroy the braid (and their tails in the process). Such a lovely braid job, too...
Goldie has had a MUCH less elegant braid for about two days, now its at the point of needing done again. I can't braid that nicely.
The secret to braiding this type is to only use 1/2 inch square sections from next to the hairless area on the tail. Never use the entire hair as it will become to thick, and wont stay tight. Tight but not to tight as the hair underneath stays down and flat...braid down the tail taking 1/2 inch square sections ( next to hairless area, until the hair starts to go all the way around the tail, then stop adding sections and just braid the rest of the hair you have picked up already.
Then if you want to add start a new section doing the same thing but taking your sections from the back of the tail. let the first braid stay down with the unused hair, braid right over it. then when you get to the bottom of the tail, stop the sections and braid the rest of the hair again.
