Well charms well and truly out of season she was bucking at banner before he got near and she emptied her bladder in anger lol so no covering there. He covered twice in a row yesterday but I don't think he had a happy ending so to speak and she was not very happy getting covered at all. so that's that the gods have decided for me!

I suppose that's that. Meadow is to be unique

Do you pasture breed or hand breed?  Sometimes just letting them run together will do the trick!

Hmm, you've had the mares checked.  Have you thought to have Banner checked? 

So sorry they don't seem to be getting pregnant.  That's really disappointing!!

Unfortunately, I have no idea what the costs for that would be now - the last time I had that done was in 2000 or 2001 - after a groin/sheath/penis injury to our stallion.  He did break their Colorado AV, that was quite entertaining!  It took 6 months for him to return to normal - for the test it took some real work to get him interested at all in breeding/mounting to be collected.  Though the warmth of the AV soon fixed that issue, LOL. 

He seemed to become interested in mares and fertile again at the same time - that was how I determined he was ready for breeding and the first mare covered was US in foal at 21 days.

Oh banners fine he got my other mare pregnant after a wash out. Charm must just need a wash out too after having Meadow - it's quite late in the season for that now so I'll have to wait until next year to do that. It was a very short season so it may have been the last one of the year.

Normally I would but not with the foal just in case. I know charm and know banner and know they don't get on the very best - banner would be a pest and charms handy with those back legs!

So i deleted the last thread cause i assumed that it was done and dusted.


But i also expected Charm to have one more season! She was covered properly for a week. Then the next season lasted three days, and she was very reluctant to cover - but finally let him do it twice in a 20min period - however i don't think he had a happy ending.


Shes now a week "late" so i think a scan would be beneficial to be sure.

Oh, never deleted them.  We are happy to see the history -- even when it isn't quite what we want, but it gives us the days, etc.

yeah it was a bit spur of the moment and happened before i thought about it - i didnt think i actually could. i was just testing it! lol

How did things work out with Charm? Is there another thread that I missed that has results? Or do you think she took?? I'm just re-familiarizing myself with everyone, so I wouldn't mind if you updated this thread with pictures. *wink*

Haha sorry no news. She's not been in season again but a few times I've seen her and thought she was and when I looked at the dates it was when she was "due" and that's how she was last year too. So I'm quite sure she's pregnant. I'll have her scanned when I've got the time, Meadow is due vaccinations soon so timing will work with that.
