Well, I was looking at getting another mare to replace one that I am selling. I came home with two. This is Firewaters Isidora of Olympus. she was pasture bred and is supposedly "due" any day now. There were two other mares with her and they foaled 3 weeks ago. Her udder still is not impressive but I have only seen it when she has been turned out. I am curious to see what it looks like after being stalled. She is testing in the 7.5-7.8 range. She is in a temporary pen while I get the foaling stall ready. Hopefully, she will be moved in there tomorrow. She is a seasoned broodmare. The thing is, she has lost two foals. I know one was due to no one being there in time to break the sac. I believe the other was the same. So I will be watching her like a hawk. She is multi-world top 10. She is bred to Aristocratic Regal Red who has one world champion and 4 reserves. Izzy has decided to make progress. Still doesn't look quite ready but getting closer. Ph is between 6.8 and 7.2 and hardness is sky-high. Well over 800, undiluted. Milk is super sticky and cloudy white. It also borderline streams rather than drips. Elongating and losing tail resistance as well as muscle tone. I am watching her very closely. I feel like she is probably a sneaky foaler which is likely why she has lost foals because no one was there.

Oh yes, keep your eyes on her.  That baby appears to be pretty lined up and as you can only see one little blip out the side, she is certainly looking close to ready!  Udder looks good, too. 

Praying she won't be too sneaky, and you're there for that little one to come safely to the ground.      We want a totally uneventful foaling of a healthy little one.  Come on Izzy!!

Okay I did that. Makes more sense that way! Her udder is much more full this morning. Still testing 7.2. It?s not nice out right now so I am leaving her in to better monitor her. I?m
determined to be there if at all possible.

What's the breeding on your Little America gelding?   I follow Tony some, and like some of his stock.  Have wanted a few mares over the years, that have been taller than he prefers; but just never could make it happen.

I attached his pedigree. Super sweet gelding but quite cowhocked. He is a bay varnish and 31 inches.

No problem! He doesn?t actually have much appy lineage other than Orion. I really like his grand sire, Silver Meadows Phantom Storm though.

Checking in this morning, and found the cam is down.  Hoping all is well and it's just a "digital" error.

I do not know what the issue is. We worked on it for hrs last night. Hoping to have a tech out here ASAP to fix it. Izzy is definitely keeping me up at night LOL.

YEAH!!!!  It's working!!  Praying for an uneventful foaling of a healthy little one for you.  Izzy is just standing at the back of the stall, looking like she, too, is ready for this to be over.
