Maybe labour not colic?
« on: May 14, 2016, 09:07:12 PM »
Oh geeze. Sooo I emailed Sugars previous owner and asked again about when around she could be due. Well I guess she was put out to pasture with her new baby and stallion right away. Her filly from last year turns 1 today, so technically if she got pregnant on her first cycle she's due right around now for her norm. .. guess I'm on super watch from now on!

Even if she took the second cycle after foaling, she could be due right now.   Keep us posted.  Remember to breathe, and try to relax if you can, but keep watch.

The vet finally called back I guess their pager systems haven't been working properly all day! I've been out there every 15 min and she's eating and drinking normal now just looking like she's un comfortable... the vet said that having the baby shift near the end and then add on top of that the sore stomach that she could just be feeling real crappy and she may spunk back up in the morning and still not have the foal yet . We are staying calm now, I'm much more relaxed that she's being a bit more normal and eating and pooping and drinking. I'll be going out a bunch tonight take sure everything stays smooth :)

I am glad she is feeling better and sorry I wasn't here when she was under the weather. It sounds like baby was moving into "take off " position :)
