As to the other - the stallion that I got back (Toro), the sire of our buckskin tobi filly, has been running with 5 mares since March 23rd. Wasn't originally planned, but figured it would be ok. Well, all 5 of those mares keep coming back into season! Thinking I had missed a testicle, I was checking him after his hoof trim on the 20th. He does have both testes - but the one is significantly smaller and "rides" high in the scrotal sack, so I'm wondering...
. In all actuality, I will be glad when this fella is castrated. He's been a major pain in the behind since he arrived back on Feb 19th. At least now, I can catch him again - though only when I feed. Can not walk up to him in the pasture like I could before he was originally sold as a 2 yr old or like I did his sire (anywhere - anytime)! We'll see if any of these mares end up in foal. They won't be exposed to any other stallions.
