Spotty is now a gelding. He was so rambunctious, that the vet gave him extra sedation, and then he wanted to continue sleeping after his procedure was over. [Also needed Shayne's help to hold him still to give him his first shot, a little dose of IM ACE to chill him out.]
I have to feed a ltitle bit late tonight to be sure both horses that had sedation are fully awake before dinnertime. Spotty is currently in a separate outside temporary pen (put up some panels around him for him to wake up in while we worked on TAna).
Tana had a growth on her leg, I'm not going to spend the $80 on pathology for something we are 90% sure is a sarcoid by looks and growth pattern. I first spotted it when trimming hooves in February, and it was smaller than my pinky fingernail; when I noticed it again about 10 days ago, it was about the size of my thumbnail. The vet excised it, stitched it and wrapped; wrap changes every other day for the next week.
Also rabies vaccinated 10 barn cats (all we could catch, they knew something was up and scattered). And, of course, the main reason the vet came, we tested the bulls, and unfortunately 2 tested bad, so will head to auction soon.
