He is likely getting his first non-family visitors tomorrow.  The retired vet up the road, along with her husband and their grandkids want to come see the mini baby.   [I don't know if it's their son or daughter's family, their kids moved away before I came to the area, so have never met the kids.]

A few new pictures today.  We had a brief window of sunshine.  Warmer temps but overcast, so the little bit of sun was nice.

I love him, but he's a little toot.   Mostly he runs away from me.   Tonight I sat on a bucket and he came a bit closer and decided I wasn't horrible after all.

Its the best when they start to gain trust. I always laugh when they realize at the last minute "How close they actually are " then run off with excitement :)

Yes, on all accounts.   He tends to run sideways with his butt towards me, and one eye on me, but keeps his distance.

The thing I loved the most was just sitting in the paddock with the babies and getting to know their characters. It is amazing how they can be so different. I found that the alpha mare’s babies were always the difficult ones, where the lower the mare in the ranking the friendlier their babies were. Anyone else find that?
